December break has finally arrived! My family and I went to Vermont for 5 days celebrating the holidays and the new year with family friends. Sadly Vermont and the East Coast has had a major lack of snow this year. But nice walks are still fun, especially with two crazy dogs, Lui and Bea, to entertain!

Last Minute DIY christmas gifts

Have you completely forgot about christmas? Or buying gifts? Or just have no money to go buy gifts? Or do you just love making DIY gifts? Well if you said yes to any of these questions then here are some of my favorite DIY gifts you can make!

Here are step by step directions to :
Cookie Mix Jar / Customized Bath Salts / Homemade Fudge Boxes / Open When's /  & 52 Reasons why I love you

For Bath Salts you'll need:
-Empty Jar
-Food Coloring
-Essential Oil
-Magnesium Bath Flakes or Epson Salt
-Baking Soda
-Some ribbon and cloth material

First put a ration of 3:1 of Epson Salt and Backing Soda. Add a few drops of essential oils (I used coconut and mint) and add a few drops of food coloring. Then just mix it all together

Put it all together in the jar. I didn't have enough epson salt so I added this fake lavender flower to make it seem like a growing flower! So creative hahaha

Then I cut a piece of cloth to decorate the jar. Then tie it up with some nice ribbon. You can also add a nice label to personalize it.

for Chocolate Chip Cookie Jar you'll need:
-2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
-1 teaspoon of salt
-1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup of white sugar
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar

Measure all the ingredients & then put them into the jar matching each ingredient with similar colors

Then cut a piece of cloth and write the recipe on a tag.

for Fudge Boxes you'll need:
-Oreos (3 cups)
-White chocolate chips (1 bag)
-Sweetened condensed milk (14 ox.)
- Festive mini boxes and tissue paper
-Wax paper
-Pan

Prepare pan by covering it with wax paper

Melt all of the condensed milk and chocolate chips into a saucepan

Crush the Oreos and then put them into the saucepan and mix for about a minute

Poor mixture into the prepared pan and smooth out. Sprinkle the top with some crushed Oreos and press down.
(You could use any  chocolate and any other added ingredients like pretzels, nuts, ect)

After it is cooled, using a warm knife cut the fudge into desired pieces

Then fold the tissue paper to cover the box and place fudge inside

for Open When's you'll need:
-Paper
-Envelopes
-Ribbion
-Markers/Stickers/Decorations

Each envelope should be labeled with a certain emotion/time/occasion when someone should open the letter. Then decorate and make it pretttyyyy

Inside each letter there should be cute lil note for that certain occasion. You can put candy, memes, or pictures inside to add some pazazzz. You can also add a blank one so your friend can continue the tradition

Then tie it all up in a pretty bow

Last idea is 52 reasons I love you
- deck of cards
-sharpie

I wrote mine in Serbian because it was for my mom, but basically on each card write a reason why you love them. You could always decorate it with images/stickers/doodles

Happy Holidays! Hope this helped!

Cambridge Exploring

For a school project, I had to find something to compare and contrast in the world today. My friend and I decided to to compare Renaissance art and graffiti. After visiting the MFA, we went to a famouse cambridge ally off Mass Ave filled with crazy graffiti. I love graffiti and consider it modern art. While we were there we had the awesome experience of actually seeing a guy creating his master pieces. It was a pretty cool day. It was good idea to wear sneakers because by the end of the day I was so tried from a full day of walking in the museum and cambridge. haha

After we got a little cold so we went off to see the neighboring stores. We found cute lil record store with awesome old-school records and DVDs. I bought my self a Pulp fiction VHS video tape cause I mean that's essential to my livelihood. Tarrantino is my ultimate favorite directors and Pulp Fiction is a WONDERFUL movie. If you haven't watched, go watch it now. Now. It will change your life.

Preppy meets Punk

Outfit Details
Pants (American Apparel)
Blouse (Zara)(Similar)
Sweater (Uniqlo)
Shoes/Similar (Boutique)
Necklace (Boutique)
Bag (Accesorize) couldn't find similar one sorry :(

I went out to dinner with the family and this is what I wore. It's casually elegant! I'm in LOVE with my new winter jacket! It's so warm and the fur is really good for protecting against the wind! My blouse and sweater combo was super preppy so I added striped jeans and my crazy docs to jazz it up a bit. And of course, wore my favorite lipstick to match my colorful docs. A nice comfortable, classy, outfit.
